DO YOU NEED TO BE CONCERNED WITH ANY OF THE ABOVE?
When it comes to Fat Loss as your primary goal, we often look to things that supposedly will speed up the fat loss process.
The 'quick fix'.
It's human nature and I've been guilty of this many times over in the past, wasting a lot of time, money and effort.
Some things may work for some people, but it's usually not the exact thing they may think is working, but a correlation.
It ultimately comes down to this...
ALL OF THESE LITTLE DETAILS WILL MAKE NO DIFFERENCE IF YOU'RE ENERGY BALANCE IS OUT.
That means you need to eat less calories than you use. Or use more calories than you eat.
You don't have to eat every 2.5 hours to the minute.
You don't have to give up carbs at certain times of day.
You just need to be consistent, patient and work hard.
Fat loss results will come if you shift your focus to...
- Eating in a sensible calorie deficit with adequate protein.
- Weight training and including cardio as a tool to increase your energy deficit when needed.
- Monitoring your progress (from a mixture of weight, measurements, photos and strength) and amending the plan when you need to.
- Being accountable.
That's pretty much as complicated as it needs to be. Not very.
If you give yourself enough time, make sustainable changes and get the right help, you'll work wonders on your body without wasting your efforts on the small details that create minimal, if not no change at all.
